Organic Ring Making Workshop
Description
Beginner Organic Ring Making Workshop - 2 hour Session.
Design and create your own handmade organic ring - shaped by hand, rich in texture and uniquely yours.
In this relaxed, hands-on workshop, you'll sculpt your ring in wax, exploring organic forms, natural textures and optional details such as gemstone settings engravings or even fingerprint impressions. Your finished piece will then be professionally cast in a precious metal of your choice.
Choose from sterling silver, solid gold
(9–18ct yellow, rose or white). Materials are charged by weight on the day, so you only pay for what you use.
Held in our studio, this intimate session introduces the foundations of traditional lost-wax casting — no experience needed. Over two enjoyable hours, you’ll be guided step-by-step to create a sculptural piece that reflects your own style.
Once cast, your ring will be durable, water-safe, and made to be worn every day — a piece with both presence and permanence.
What to Expect
Create Your Ring
Each participant will design and make one ring on the day using wax. The casting, polishing and delivery of your pieces will be handled by me after the workshop. Your completed ring will be delivered to you in approximately 4 weeks after the class.
Learn the Process
You’ll be guided through the fundamentals of traditional lost-wax casting. You will be shown how to shape your design and incorporate optional elements such as gemstones or engraved details.
Make It Your Own
This is your time to create. Explore organic forms, textures, fingerprint impressions, engravings, and optional gemstones. You decide the size, shape, and overall feel of your piece.
Weigh & Choose Your Metal
At the end of the session, your wax ring is weighed and you’ll select the metal for casting. Options include sterling silver, gold (9–18ct), or brass. You’ll only pay for the material used, giving you full control over the final cost. Most rings range between $50–$250, depending on the metal chosen and the gems you select.
Leave your wax ring with me, and I’ll professionally polish and finish your piece. The process takes time — please allow around 3-4 weeks for completion. Once ready, your ring will be beautifully packaged and sent to you with tracking.
